The Butterfly Marketing Concept:
• Offer a free-membership site
• Automatically signs people up as an affiliate at the same time
• Uses One Time Offers (OTO’s) to offer upgrade, thereby monetizing the site
• Members Area has promotion tools for affiliates to use to promote the site to others. They make a % of the optional upgrade fees from those people
• Affiliates are paid their % immediately via PayPal, which encourages them to do this again, over and over, bringing in yet more affiliates who do the same, thus the site grows virally with little or no money spent on advertising.
• As time progresses, little changes to the site are made to keep it fresh, i.e.: color, text, new tools, new product, etc.
Yaro Starak calls it “managed membership sites with built in affiliate systems”. And he’s right. It’s all built-in for you already. Even a newbie can do this. Mike Filsaime has spent a tremendous amount of time and resources perfecting Mark Joyner’s process. Mike named it, promotes it, and does very well with it.
The first time I saw Mike Filsaime was when one of his Affiliates (thank you very much whoever you were!) sent me to his Butterfly Marketing Page. Why did I listen to Mike when I’d heard and discarded several others? One thing caught my eye-Mike was funny! Not in his presentation, he was very serious about his product. It was after he made his pitch and told me to click the button below. Then he said, “Go ahead, I’ll wait.” And he did. The video kept rolling as he stood there, patiently waiting for me to take action. After a minute or two of his looking around, left and right, he said something like, “I know you’re serious about wanting to be successful in online marketing because you’re still here. Go ahead and click the button below (pointing at it) and I’ll walk you through it on the next page. I know you can do this. It will change your life. Go ahead, I’ll wait.” And he did, again.
No other video clip I’d ever seen had “wasted” air time like this. He’d look left and right, then down at the button, then back at me with an encouraging smile. I got so tickled at him that I called my husband to see it, too. By now I was laughing at Mike Filsaime, totally comfortable with his easygoing approach, and yes, I clicked that button. By then I felt like I had a new friend that was honestly interested in my success. I trusted him. Why? He’d done the same thing others had done without being pushy. He’d stated his facts. He was confident in his product. And like a good friend, just gave me space to make my own decision. I liked Mike Filsaime!
At the time I didn’t know enough about Internet Marketing to know just how valuable his Butterfly Marketing really is. I might not have clicked that button if his video had been just like all the others. In essence, it was. The difference was Mike, himself, and how he understood and respected my hesitation. He understood and met my need.
I know if you’re new to internet/affiliate marketing you have a million questions. I know I did. You don’t have to wander in the dark for months like I did. Now I use Mike’s Butterfly Marketing process and I love it! I love how he teaches that we should go way over and above the expectations of anyone that visits our sites. He does that for me.
